EVERGREEN is the shipping line with more new ships ordered worldwide! There are currently 69 container vessels that our shipping represented expects to receive over the next three years. In total there will be approximately 560,000 TEU that will reinforce EVERGREEN’s fleet!
Orders include:
- 25 C-Class ships (with a capacity of 1,800 TEU or more);
- 14 Ships with 2,500 TEU capacity;
- 20 F-Class ships (approximately 12,000 TEU capacity);
- And finally 10 Megamax ships with approximately 24,000 TEU capacity each.

Shipyards Accountable for the Construction of the Ships Ordered
Orders were placed in 10 different processes, allowing to speed up the construction and delivery of the container vessels. In the case of Megamax – expected to be delivered between 2021 and 2022 – six are being built at Samsung’s shipyards, the remaining four at Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding and Jiangnan Shipyard. Regarding the 20 F-Class – to be delivered between 2020 and 2021 – eight are in charge of Samsung and the remaining twelve of Imabari. About the ships with 2,500 TEU capacity, four are being built at Jiangnan shipyards and ten at Imabari. Finally, the remaining 25 C-Class are distributed by Tsuneishi, Hyundai Mipo, Imabari and Jiangsu (4, 10, 9 and 2 respectively) to be delivered throughout 2020 and 2021.

EVERGREEN’s New Ships and Environmental Commitments
These new commissioned container vessels follow EVERGREEN’s fundamental premise to grow in a sustainable way, doing everything to keep our natural heritage safe. In this sense, all ships will be delivered already equipped with various environmental protection systems and strictly complying with the regulations of international maritime agencies.
With these new acquisitions EVERGREEN continues its commitment to revitalizing and growing its fleet. This increases the quality of the service provided to our customers and significantly reduces emissions of polluting gases into the atmosphere.
